Coimbatore’s Annapoorna Deepavali Sweet Mela Opens with an Irresistible Assortment of Festive Delicacies

Coimbatore: The aroma of freshly prepared ghee sweets and the sight of an irresistible festive spread mark the return of Sri Annapoorna’s annual Sweet Mela in Coimbatore. As customers savour the familiar taste of Annapoorna’s signature laddus and barfis, this year’s edition also brings an assortment of curated festive delicacies.

The five-day Diwali Sweet Mela commenced on November 3 and is being held at eight Sri Annapoorna outlets across Coimbatore, giving sweet lovers an opportunity to explore and take home their favourite festive treats. The participating outlets are located at Ganapathy, Avinashi National Highway, Avinashi Road, RS Puram, Mettupalayam Road, Gandhipuram Central Bus Stand, Thudiyalur and People’s Park.

The mela was inaugurated at Sri Annapoorna’s Mettupalayam Road outlet by T. Srinivasan, Managing Director, and Jagan S. Damodarasamy, Chief Executive Officer of Annapoorna.

K.S. Subramaniam, Technical Director of Sodal Tech Group, G.T. Moorthy, General Manager, and directors Hemamalini, B. Srinivasan, Padmavathi Lakshmanan and Aswath attended the occasion as special guests and received the first sale.

With more than 100 varieties of pure ghee sweets on offer, the mela presents an elaborate selection for those looking to add a touch of sweetness to their Deepavali celebrations. The assortment includes Chocolate Burfi, Kesar Burfi, Malai Burfi, Milk Khoa Burfi, Anjeer Milk Cake, Kheer Kadam Special, Kiwi Badam Kaju Delight, Sandwich Milk, Special Milk Cake and Triveni Chakra. A tempting range of savouries has also been prepared to complement the festive spread.

For those looking to share the joy of the festival through thoughtful gifts, Annapoorna is also offering special gift vouchers valued between Rs. 150 and Rs. 1,000. Available at all its outlets, the vouchers provide another way to share the festive flavours with family and friends.
