Passenger Alert: Coimbatore Junction Track Work to Disrupt Train Services on October 9-11

Coimbatore: Several train services passing through Coimbatore will see temporary changes on October 9, 10 and 11 due to track maintenance engineering works at Coimbatore Junction Railway Yard, Southern Railway has announced. As part of the changes, Train No. 66611 Mettupalayam–Podanur MEMU, scheduled to leave Mettupalayam at 8.20 am, will be short terminated at Coimbatore Junction on October 9 and 10. It will operate only up to Coimbatore Junction and will not run to Podanur Junction. Train No. 56604 Shoranur–Coimbatore Passenger, scheduled to leave Shoranur Junction at 8.20 am, will be short terminated at Podanur Junction on October 10 and 11. It will not operate between Podanur Junction and Coimbatore Junction on these days. Train No. 66615 Mettupalayam–Podanur MEMU, scheduled to leave Mettupalayam at 1.05 pm, will be short terminated at Coimbatore North Railway Station on October 11. It will operate only up to Coimbatore North and will not run to Podanur Junction. Meanwhile, Train No. 66612 Podanur–Mettupalayam MEMU, scheduled to depart Podanur at 9.40 am, will instead originate from Coimbatore Junction at 9.55 am on October 9 and 10. It will not operate from Podanur to Coimbatore Junction. Train No. 56603 Coimbatore–Shoranur Passenger, scheduled to leave Coimbatore Junction at 4.25 pm, will instead originate from Podanur Junction at 4.38 pm on October 10 and 11. Train No. 66616 Podanur–Mettupalayam MEMU, scheduled to leave Podanur at 3.30 pm, will instead originate from Coimbatore North Railway Station at 3.52 pm on October 11. Passengers travelling on the affected routes have been advised to take note of the temporary changes while planning their journeys.
