Three Trains to Face Service Changes; Coimbatore-Nagercoil Express to Be Diverted

Coimbatore: Train services on the Coimbatore-Karur and adjoining routes will undergo short termination and diversion on October 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15 and 17, due to sleeper renewal and track maintenance works being carried out between Pugalur and Murthipalayam railway stations.

Train No. 16846 Sengottai-Erode Express, scheduled to depart Sengottai at 5.20 am, will be short terminated at Karur Junction on the specified dates. After completion of the works, it will operate as an unreserved special train from Karur Junction to Erode Junction, with the same stoppages as the regular service.

Similarly, Train No. 16844 Palakkad Town-Tiruchchirappalli Express, scheduled to leave Palakkad Town at 6.30 am, will be short terminated at Pugalur Railway Station, located between Kodumudi and Karur, on the same dates. After the works, it will run as an unreserved special train from Pugalur to Tiruchchirappalli Junction, with the same stoppages as the regular service.

Train No. 16322 Coimbatore-Nagercoil Express, scheduled to depart Coimbatore Junction at 8 am, will operate on a diverted route between Coimbatore and Dindigul. The train will run via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani.

As a result, the Coimbatore-Nagercoil Express will skip stops at Coimbatore North, Peelamedu, Singanallur, Irugur, Sulur Road, Somanur, Tiruppur, Uttukuli, Ingur, Erode, Pasur, Kodumudi, Pugalur, Karur, Palaiyam and Eriodu.

Alternative stoppages will be provided at Podanur, Kinattukkadavu, Pollachi, Udumalaippettai, Palani and Oddanchatram.
