Sri Ramakrishna Dental College Hosts First IAOMP UG Convention

Coimbatore: Sri Ramakrishna Dental College and Hospital in Coimbatore hosted the first Undergraduate Convention of the Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (IAOMP), bringing together more than 750 students and faculty from 30 dental colleges across India.
The convention was inaugurated by Dr. Sundar Ramakrishnan, Managing Trustee, along with Narendran, Joint Managing Trustee. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Nadeem, President of IAOMP.
Dr. J. Dinakar, Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Dental College and Hospital and Organizing Chairman of the convention, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. S. Gowri, Vice Principal and Organizing Secretary, proposed the vote of thanks.
A major academic event in undergraduate dental education, the convention brought together participants from 30 dental colleges across India, with more than 750 students registering for the programme.
The convention also saw the IAOMP confer the Institutional Excellence Award on Sri Ramakrishna Dental College and Hospital, recognising the institution’s contribution to dental education and Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.
“Hosting the convention reflected the institution’s focus on academic excellence, scientific research, innovation and professional development among undergraduate dental students,” said Sundar Ramakrishnan, Managing Trustee.
