Coimbatore Traffic Diversions Announced for September 30 Ahead of Chief Minister’s Visit

Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Police have announced traffic diversions and restrictions for September 30 in view of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s visit to the city.

The changes will affect vehicles entering and leaving Coimbatore, with specific diversions for buses, heavy vehicles and light motor vehicles. Separate instructions have also been issued for airport passengers and vehicles.

Incoming Vehicles

Buses and heavy vehicles entering Coimbatore from Salem, Erode and Tiruppur will not be permitted to proceed through the Neelambur Junction–Chinniyampalayam–Peelamedu route.

Instead, these vehicles can enter the city via the L&T Bypass, Chinthamanipudur, Ondipudur and Singanallur.

Light motor vehicles entering the city from the Neelambur area will also be diverted through the L&T Bypass and the alternative route via Chinthamanipudur, Ondipudur and Singanallur.

Outgoing Vehicles

Vehicles travelling from Coimbatore towards Avinashi Road will be diverted through designated alternative routes, including the L&T Bypass and connecting roads. Motorists are advised to follow the diversions announced by the police.

Airport Passengers

Passengers travelling to Coimbatore International Airport on September 30 have been advised to reach the airport at least 30 minutes before their scheduled departure.

Cars, taxis and other vehicles will not be permitted to park at the airport on the day.

Heavy Vehicle Restrictions

The movement of heavy vehicles will be restricted from 7 am to 9 pm on September 30.

Coimbatore City Police have urged motorists to cooperate with the traffic arrangements and use the designated alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
