The registration work of fingerprint or iris scan on Point of Sale (PoS) machines continues for family members holding Antyodaya Anna Yojana family cards (AAY), Priority Household family cards (PHH), and Non-Priority Household family cards (NPHH) in the district.

Currently, the registration completion rate stands at 95.03% for AAY cards, 95.10% for PHH cards, and only 84.48% for NPHH cards. The number of family members pending biometric registration is 7,033 for AAY cards, 49,324 for PHH cards, and 3,41,425 for NPHH cards.

According to the announcement issued by District Collector Pawan Kumar Giriyappanar, all family members whose biometric registration is pending under the National Food Security Act must complete their fingerprint registration at their respective fair price shops or nearby fair price shops by July 31, 2026.

To facilitate biometric registration for pending members, from July 11, 2026 to July 31, 2026, fair price shop vendors will directly visit beneficiaries' homes during afternoon hours to complete the registration.

The District Collector has appealed to the public to utilize this opportunity without fail and extend necessary cooperation to fair price shop vendors. Beneficiaries who fail to complete biometric registration have been warned that they may face difficulties in receiving ration items in the future, and are therefore instructed to register immediately.
