Due to track renewal and maintenance works at Karur Railway Yard, the train will operate via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani, skipping several scheduled stops, including Coimbatore North, Peelamedu, Singanallur, Tiruppur, Erode and Karur.
Coimbatore: Southern Railway has announced temporary changes to the operation of several train services on July 9 in view of track renewal and maintenance works at the Karur Railway Yard.
Among the services affecting passengers from Coimbatore, Train No. 16322 Coimbatore–Nagercoil Express, scheduled to depart Coimbatore Junction at 8 a.m., will be diverted between Coimbatore and Dindigul via Podanur, Pollachi and Palani.
Consequently, the train will not halt at Coimbatore North, Peelamedu, Singanallur, Irugur, Sulur Road, Somanur, Tiruppur, Uttukuli, Ingur, Erode, Pasur, Kodumudi, Pugalur, Karur, Palaiyam and Eriodu railway stations. However, additional stoppages will be provided at Podanur and Pollachi stations.
Southern Railway has also announced temporary operational changes to Train No. 16811 Mayiladuthurai–Salem Express, Train No. 16812 Salem–Mayiladuthurai Express and Train No. 16844 Palakkad Town–Tiruchchirappalli Express on the same day owing to the maintenance works at Karur Yard.
Passengers have been advised to verify the revised train schedule and stoppages before commencing their journey to avoid inconvenience.
