Coimbatore: Ministers S. Muthusamy and K.N. Nehru conducted an inspection on August 5 at the proposed site for the installation of a statue of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi in Karumathampatti area of Coimbatore.

During their visit, the ministers urged officials to expedite the completion of the project and make it available for public use as soon as possible. They carefully examined the location, assessing its proximity to the road and the surrounding area to determine the most suitable spot for the statue's placement.

The inspection team, which included DMK functionaries, party workers, and government officials, thoroughly evaluated the site's potential. The ministers' presence underscored the importance of this project, which aims to honor the legacy of the late DMK patriarch.

This initiative to install Karunanidhi's statue in Karumathampatti is seen as a tribute to the former Chief Minister's contributions to Tamil Nadu's development. The chosen location is expected to become a significant landmark in the area once the statue is installed.

As the project moves forward, local authorities are likely to work closely with the state government to ensure that the installation process adheres to all necessary regulations and reflects the dignity befitting a leader of Karunanidhi's stature.
