Coimbatore: Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS, has encouraged students from schools and colleges across Coimbatore District to engage in an intellectual exercise by partaking in the district-level speech competition. Authoritatively set for April 14, 2024, the competition is structured to celebrate the birthdays of renowned leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Ambedkar, Periyar, Arignar Anna, and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar Karunanidhi.
The announced themes emphasize the societal thoughts and reformative philosophies proposed by these leaders. Kranthi Kumar Pati highlighted the importance of involving youth in dialogues about social reform and leadership, aiming to instill a deeper understanding and appreciation of India's rich heritage of thought leadership.
The competition is scheduled to be held at the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Auditorium located on the second floor of the old district office building. Winning participants will receive accolades and financial rewards, with first prizes amounting to ₹5000, second ₹3000, and third ₹2000.
