Fire breaks out in a locked house in Tirupur; goods worth Rs 3 lakh damaged

Following a sudden fire at the house of Velmurugan on Wednesday November 9th, an employee of baniyan company at Kullegoundan Pudur on Mangalam Road, the fire department rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control, but the loss of life was averted as there was no one in the house.



Tirupur: Revathi hails from Kullegoundan Pudur near Andipalayam on Mangalam Road in Tirupur district. He has built houses on a plot of land owned by him and rented them out. Velmurugan, who works in Baniyan, lived with his wife and child in his rented house.



In this case, this morning, after cooking as usual and sending the children to school, the husband and wife went to work in a nearby baniyan company. In the meantime, after some time, a sudden black smoke came out of their house.



On seeing this, the neighbours went nearby and found that a fire had broken out inside the house. Velmurugan has been informed in this regard. They have also informed the Tirupur South fire station.



The fire brigade rushed to the spot and fought for half an hour with the help of two fire tenders to bring the fire under control.



In the fire, the roof door of the house and the TV bridge cot cupboard inside the house were destroyed in the fire.



Tirupur Central police station police have registered a case in connection with the fire and are investigating the matter.
