If Tamils are not Hindus, then no one is a Hindu - Vanathi Sreenivasan condemns director Vetrimaaran

For hundreds of years, a conspiracy has been hatched here to establish foreign religions in this land and to destroy the hindu culture and identities which is the religion of this land - BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan alleged that filmmaker Vetrimaaran's speech was a testimony to the fact that it is still going on.

Coimbatore: BJP MLA from Coimbatore South Vanathi Srinivasan has slammed director Vetrimaaran, saying that if Tamils are not Hindus, then no one is a Hindu.

In a statement issued by Vanathi Srinivasan, “Speaking at the Manivizha of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Party leader brother Thirumavalavan, film director Vetrimaaran said, "It has been going on continuously to give saffron clothes to Thiruvalluvar and make Rajaraja Cholan a Hindu king. This is happening in cinema as well. Rajaraja Chola built the largest temple for Lord Shiva in the Thanjavur soil to the amazement of the whole world. He has many names like 'Sivapada Sekaran', 'Chola Narayanan', 'Thirumarai Kanda Cholan' and 'Ulagalanthan'.

Thanjavur Peruvudaiyar temple has a Vinayaka temple built by Rajaraja Cholan. The name 'Narayana' is widely seen in the inscriptions of the Chola period.

In indonesia, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia and many other countries of the world, the Chola kings were responsible for the worship of Shivalinga. In all the places where the Chola kings ruled, they built a huge temple for Lord Shiva. The Hindu temple in Cambodia is the largest Hindu temple in the world.

In all the ancient Tamil literature, including the Sangam literature, there is a detailed talk of Hindu worship and hindu gods like Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu. In the most important Tamil literature, Silappathikaram, it was customary to call it 'Narayana' as "Panchavarkku Dhoothu Naathaanai Eththatha Navenna Naave Narayana Venna Naave".

Tamil land is the land of spirituality. Hindu land. Foreign religions have also come here because of foreign invaders. The broad-minded Hindus allowed them too.

More than 30,000 temples built by chola, Chera, Pandya and Pallava kings, Vijayanagara emperors and Nayak kings stand as witnesses in Tamil Nadu even after a thousand years. The Thanjavur Peruvudaiyar temple built by Rajaraja Chola has remained a symbol of Tamils even after 1000 years.

On continents such as America, Europe, and Africa, they destroyed indigenous peoples, aboriginal religions, and cults and established certain founding religions.

India has also been dominated by institutional religions for more than a thousand years by foreign invaders. The conversion to Islam during the Mughal period and the Christian conversion during the British rule took place more frequently here. Even after India's independence, religious conversions did not stop.

For hundreds of years, a conspiracy has been hatched here to establish foreign religions in this land and to destroy the hindu culture and identities which is the religion of this land.Filmmaker Vetrimaaran's speech is a testimony to the fact that it is still continuing without stopping.

They have now dared to say that Rajaraja Cholan, who built the Shiva temple that has survived for a thousand years, is not a Hindu. This is condemnable. There is no doubt that this is part of a conspiracy to destroy Hindu culture.

If Tamils are not Hindus, then no one is a Hindu in this land. Let us take a pledge to take the history of Chola, Chera, Pallava and Pandya kings like Rajaraja Chola to each one of us to defeat the separatist forces.”
