Kovilpalayam police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the robbers who stole the jewellery.
Coimbatore: Police are investigating the incident in which 8 sovereign jewellery which was allegedly robbed by breaking the lock of a private jeweller's house in Coimbatore.
Vinod Kumar (33), is a resident of Senthoor Garden Phase-II, Kondaiyanpalayam, Coimbatore. He works as a salesman in a well-known private jewellery shop.
Since Vinod Kumar's wife is currently pregnant, she lives with her mother in Shivananda Mills area. On May 14, Vinod Kumar had gone to his wife's mother's house in Shivananda Mills area.
Sanmathi, neighbour of Vinod Kumar and informed him that that the door of the house was open. When Vinod Kumar rushed to the spot, he found that the front door of the house had been broken.
Shocked, Vinod Kumar went inside and found that the miscreants had broken open the cupboard and stolen three chains weighing 8 sovereigns. He then lodged a complaint with the Kovilpalayam police. The police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the miscreants who stole the jewellery.
