The awareness drive along with the Coimbatore Traffic Police highlighted the importance of respecting and adhering to traffic rules to avoid accidents.
Coimbatore: The students of KSIRS, a private school, operating in Chinnavedampatti area of Coimbatore spread awareness among the public along with the Coimbatore Traffic Police about the need to follow traffic rules.
The awareness drive was held in the Lakshmi Mills area of Coimbatore.
Students carried placards and banners and shouted slogans on road safety and traffic regulations to create awareness among the public.
As part of the awareness program, "Travel Safe with Road Discipline" badges were given to motorists.
The Coimbatore Police Commissioner, V Balakrishnan flagged off the program and briefed motorists on traffic rules and how to operate vehicles safely.
The event was attended by the Deputy Transport Commissioner Madhivanan, the School Principals Lalitha Prakash, Deva Prakash, teachers and school administrators.
