Coimbatore District Police Invite Applications for 61 Home Guard Vacancies; Deadline October 23

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Police have invited applications from eligible candidates to fill 61 Home Guard vacancies in the district, including 59 posts for men and two for women. Applications are being accepted from October 9 to October 23, 2026.

Application forms are available free of cost at police stations and Home Guards offices in Mettupalayam, Periyanaickenpalayam and Pollachi. Completed applications must be submitted to the police station having jurisdiction over the applicant’s residential area or to the Coimbatore District Police Office by 5 pm on October 23. Applications received after the deadline will not be entertained.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be aged 18 years or above and below 50 years as of October 1, 2026. They must be physically fit, possess good character and have studied at least up to Class 10. Both candidates who have passed and those who have failed the Class 10 examination are eligible to apply.

Applicants must be natives and residents of Tamil Nadu and reside within the jurisdiction of police stations functioning under the Coimbatore District Police. They must submit copies of their Transfer Certificate or educational mark sheet, Aadhaar card, proof of residential address and family ration card along with the completed application.

Candidates must also be willing to serve in the Home Guards Organisation for a minimum of three years and demonstrate an interest in community service and public welfare. Central and State Government employees, self-employed individuals and people working in reputed private organisations are also eligible to apply.

The Coimbatore District Police have encouraged eligible candidates interested in public service to make use of the opportunity and submit their applications before the deadline.
