The Coimbatore district administration has announced that a special veterinary and awareness camp will be held at Viraliyur village near Thondamuthur tomorrow on the occasion of the birth centenary celebrations of former chief minister M Karunanidhi.

A statement issued by the district administration said,
Four special veterinary and awareness camps will be conducted in Coimbatore district to mark the birth centenary celebrations of former chief minister M Karunanidhi.
Accordingly, a special veterinary and awareness camp will be organized in Viraliyur village of Thondamuthur panchayat union in collaboration with animal husbandry department and Aavin in Coimbatore district tomorrow.
In this camp, the animals are treated for treatment, vaccines, deworming drugs, artificial insemination, foetal examination, infertility treatment. Impotence, and rheumatic surgeries, removal of peripheral parasites, vaccination of chickens and pets will be carried out.
The animal dung, blood, sputum, milk and urine of the animals will be examined by the Animal Disease Intelligence Unit and the animal husbandry will be briefed on the disease incidence and prevention methods.
An exhibition hall and farmers' seminar will be set up at the camp and prizes will be given to the best crossbred heifer calves and pioneer animal husbandry farmers.
Information will be provided on the cultivation of fodder crops, disease control methods in livestock, technology based animal husbandry methods, insemination through segregation of milk, clean milk production and awareness on the schemes implemented by the Government. This is stated in it.
