In the workshop, farmers were introduced to the production of growth promoters and stimulants like Jeevamirtham, Kanajeevamirtham, Agni Astram, and the use of insecticides. Through hands-on experiments, 14 different types of input preparation were explained. In addition, farmers were briefed on fertilization and yield-enhancing technologies, natural weed control and pest control methods to maximize their crop yields.
Coimbatore: Farmers from several districts participated and profited from a training on preparing natural farm inputs held on July 9 in Tenkasi on behalf of the Isha Agro Movement.
The training took place on Sunday at the MSPV Plantation Pvt Ltd farm near Madhapuram Pillayar temple in the Tenkasi district.

Many farmers from surrounding districts including Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Madurai, and Virudhunagar participated in this event.

Isha Agro Movement is a farmers’ movement that proposes an alternative self-reliant system of agriculture with a key focus on ensuring superior economic returns for farmers as compared to chemical farming methods. The movement continues to provide training in the production of natural inputs to farmers in order to assist them in transitioning from harmful chemical farming to organic farming.
