"Independent India's first terrorist is a Hindu, is a historical fact. My comment on Nathuram Godse remains unchanged", clarified Kamal Haasan during his campaign in Thiruparankundram on Wednesday.
"My speech was not perceived the right way. My speech was not intended to hurt people or any religion but if speaking historical facts would hurt them, then those thoughts have to be rectified", he asserted.
The President of Makkal Needhi Maiam also alleged that his speech was not telecasted fully. Portions of it was cut deliberately to make it sound vicious.
"At times truth will be bitter. I have always questioned injustice and will continue to do so. I am into serious politics and so speeches will be serious too", added Kamal Haasan.
"This government will perish, must be perished, we will perish it", the actor-politician concluded.
