As a poll promise, CM Edapadi Palaniswamy has assured that Rs. 65 crore waive off will be granted for power loom weavers in Sulur. House loan interests and other loans will also be waived off.
“It seems like a festive crowd. Sulur assembly constituency has been AIADMK's empire. The opposition candidate will lose in a huge margin. This is not a general election, so people should not get misguided by opposition's luring poll promises. I started my campaign here and now am ending it here”, said CM Edapadi Palaniswamy during his campaign at Sulur bus stand on Tuesday.
During the campaign, CM appealed to the public to cast their votes for AIADMK candidate Kandhasamy.
The Chief Minister also clarified on the accusation by Stalin on not providing resting place for late DMK Chief Karunanidhi. He stated “Due to the Court issues over the family, his burial request was denied. However, an alternate location worth Rs. 300 crore was alloted for his burial. As a mark of respect, we even withdrew the case from the Court within an hour. Yet, Stalin accuses me in his campaigns and uses a dead person’s name to bag votes. We respect leaders and request Stalin to not spoil his father’s name by falsity."
The CM promised to complete the Avinashi- Athikadavu and Godavai-Kaveri projects on schedule.
