With just a day left for the campaign, all political parties have intensified their campaigns. In one such intense campaign, Naam Tamilar Katchi's (NTK) electoral candidate, Kalyanasundaram interacted with the public on their party's manifesto at Peelamedu Pudur here on Monday.
Addressing the gathering, Kalyanasundaram vowed that "If elected, withdrawal of Suez water project will be the first step taken by me".
"This election is the apt time for the people to show the power of Tamil. NTK is the only party in the State which works for the development of the State and people. Good education will pave way for well being and development of the society", he added.
"Even if our party losses, the percentage of votes that NTK would gain will be a threat to other parties. If people feel NTK is corrupt, people have all the right to throw us out of power" Kalyanasundaram added.
He pointed out that, CPI (M) which has now teamed up with DMK which defeated the senior communist leader P Nallakannu has assassinated the idea of communism in the State. "Hence, to protect communism in the State, P.R Natarajan, the communist candidate should be defeated here in Coimbatore", he opined.
