CM Edapadi denies Kodanad burglary allegations

Chennai : Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy has denied the allegations regarding Kodanad burglary video footages released, yesterday by Mathew Samuel, former managing editor of the Indian news magazine Tehelka.

In the shocking video, one of the prime accused Sion has revealed that he was asked to get involved in the burglary by Kanagaraj, driver of late Former CM Jayalalitha. He has alleged that Kanagaraj had mentioned the name of CM Edapadi and his direct involvement in the incident. 

However, Kanagaraj died in a road accident, shortly after the incident. Sion also met with a road accident in which he lost his wife and child. The CCTV operator at Kodanad, Dinesh was reported to have committed suicide after the burglary. Mystery swirled as all involved in the burglary were no more. 

Responding to the allegations, CM Edappadi K Palanisamy has strongly denied the accusations and said "They are untrue. The video has been orchestrated to frame a bad image on the late former CM Jayalalitha and my government".
