All opposition parties to conduct protests urging withdrawal of 'Suez' contract

Coimbatore: Leaders of all opposition party met at DMK party office here today and decided to conduct continuous protests until the CCMC withdrew its contract with Suez Infrastructure Company for implementation of 24X7 water distribution project.

Members of opposition parties including DMK, Congress, CPI, and CPI(M) took part in this meeting led by Singanallur constituency DMK MLA N Karthik. The opposition parties decided to conduct meetings between 20th and 23th of this month at various places in Corporation limits against the contract. Opposition parties have also decided to siege the Corporation office on 31st of this month. 

The opposition parties condemned the Corporation's attempt to suppress the protests through arrests and said that they would continue their protests until the contract is withdrawn.
