Convicts of Coimbatore fake currency case remanded under police custody

Coimbatore: Convicts of fake currency seizure at Saibaba Colony were remanded in police custody by Coimbatore Court.

Police were involved in usual vehicle check at Saibaba Colony, here a few days before. At that time, they conducted a check on a vehicle which moved in a suspicious manner. Police seized a lump sum of Rs. 2000 fake currency from the vehicle. Police arrested Anandhan, one among the perpetrators on the spot.

 Later, a special police team was formed and a search was launched for nabbing the mates of Anandhan connected to the crime.

His mates Kidhar Mohammad and Sundhar were arrested recently. All 3 were produced before a Coimbatore court today. Judge Pandi passed order remanding Anandhan for 1 day, Kidhar Mohammad and Sundhar for 5 days in police custody.
