College students adopt roads, clear potholes and garbage in Vilankurichi

Coimbatore : College students from the Rotaract Club of Saibaba Colony adopted the Vilankurchi-Saravampatty road under its ‘NAAM’ project yesterday and cleared potholes and garbage in the stretch. 

As part of the Club’s project ‘NAAM, NAM SALAI – ADOPTION OF ROADS’ ten members of the club cleared the potholes in the Vilankurchi-Saravampatty road yesterday and cleared garbage in the roadside and nearby areas. 

Talking about the project, Rotractor Sowndharya V said,” We adopted Vilankurchi-Saravampatty road as many accidents were getting reported from this particular road. Potholes was one of the major reasons for the accidents hence we cleared the potholes. Seeing our work, the locals also came forward to help us and appreciated our work.” Earlier, the club adopted one of the important roads in Sai Baba colony and cleared potholes in the road. The Club is planning to close all potholes on the roads in and around Coimbatore in future.
