While hot weather conditions prevailed in the morning hours, the rains set in late in the evening and lashed several parts of Tirupur district.
Especially, Kangeyam, Palladam, and Avinashi areas were reported to have received copious rainfall which brought respite to the people.
The heavy rains led to waterlogging issues in many arterial roads causing inconvienence to the motorists and pedestrians.
