The Palakkad Town–Tiruchchirappalli Express will be short-terminated at Pugalur on September 5, 8, 10 and 12 due to sleeper renewal and track maintenance works between Murthipalayam and Karur.
Coimbatore: Train passengers travelling between Palakkad and Tiruchchirappalli will see a temporary change in service on September 5, 8, 10 and 12, with railway authorities modifying the operation of the Palakkad Town–Tiruchchirappalli Express to facilitate track-related works.
Train No. 16844 Palakkad Town–Tiruchchirappalli Express, which is scheduled to depart Palakkad Town at 6.30 a.m., will be short-terminated at Pugalur Railway Station on all four days. Pugalur is located between Kodumudi and Karur railway stations.
The temporary change has been necessitated by sleeper renewal and track maintenance works being carried out between Murthipalayam and Karur railway stations.
After completion of the works, the train will operate from Pugalur to Tiruchchirappalli Junction as an unreserved special train. The service will retain the same stoppages as the regular Train No. 16844 on this section.
Passengers travelling on the affected dates are advised to take note of the temporary service arrangement and plan their journeys accordingly.
