Coimbatore: Authorities at Coimbatore International Airport have rectified issues related to the drinking water purification unit near the airport entrance following a report published by Simplicity highlighting poor maintenance and inadequate upkeep of the facility.
The water dispenser, which had earlier drawn complaints from passengers and members of the public due to non-functional indicators and maintenance concerns, has now been repaired and is functioning properly.
Passengers and members of the public welcomed the swift action taken by the airport administration. They stated that the issue had caused inconvenience and confusion among travellers regarding the usability of the drinking water facility.
Following the complaints highlighted in the report, airport officials reportedly carried out an inspection and undertook immediate repair and cleaning measures in the area.
