We too are cocreators of this corrupt society

In this unequal world, humans are fighting among themselves and with all other species beings on the planet to cast their dominance over each other. This is not another war for survival. It is cruelty that is been unleashed in pursuit of greed. Such men do not value the worth of other lives, as they are too selfish to consider fulfillment of their own desires worthier than the survival of other beings. Irrational and insensitive to anything but themselves, they make the fictional hell real on earth.

All that we may feel proud of, in the name of industrial civilization, is in a way adrift from what humanity should be. Within a limited span of human existence, we have wrecked havoc and caused considerable damage to the resources of the planet. Unwise in utilizing them, we have been making the planet unfit for living.

There is an incessant mad rush for the illusions created by the economic world, which promises heaven in every product it creates and sells. Labor is either forced upon or lured to perform even demeaning tasks. While there are everyday battles fought against reminiscent forms of yesteryear slavery, industrial mercenaries, keep inventing new ways to keep ordinary men, women, and children shackled, to appraise their wealth.

There is an overabundance of ruthlessness and corruption in politics. Rulers come to power through hooliganism, unleashing threat and violence upon meeker sections of the society from behind the scene. On the front end, they sketch an adorable personality and lure vulnerable segments of the society with gifts and incentives. It's needless to say people do succumb to this grand ploy.

Can we name any field of activity that is free from infections? There is none literally. Even spirituality is infested with ‘falsity’. Fake religious leaders make covert plans to usurp even the little hard earned money of people and exploit naive seekers in the name of servitude.

There are crimes inflicted upon women, children, old aged people and those who cannot defend and protect themselves. Women are being mercilessly torn apart by beastly men. Children remain unsafe even in their own neighborhood. There is a growing number of old aged citizens living alone, bereft of basic comforts and company of their own children. Even animals are being savaged for human needs and mindless human greed. Is this what we call a civilization?

Where are these tendencies in humans stemming from? "Indifference towards other living beings, and their existence and needs." We act likes brutes lusting, usurping and hoarding resources of the world all for oneself, one's family, clan and all other divisive groupings we create.

Can mere laws of the state stop the atrocities created by humans themselves, in the garb of civilization, industrial development, and its promoted lifestyles? Unfortunately even the plight of law is hanging on an incertitude balance. Even when noble laws are created and genuine attempts are made to implement them, the same rules of the laws get overturned by corrupt men, as means to fulfill their lust for power. Ironically, it's the common people who transfer this power into the hands of unscrupulous rulers. And there gets killed the ballot paper democracy.

It's indeed the weaknesses in people, which become the breeding ground for powerful vermins in politics, business or even religion. Fundamentally, every common man’s compromise with law, social negligence, indifference to fellow beings and shameless display of corrupt tendencies on the social platform just to fulfill one’s own selfish aspirations, ends up creating and strengthening destructive power centers in the society. On a macro level when hordes of the human population turn indifferent to the consequences of such actions enacted by others and themselves, the result is, fortification of a dangerous and corrupt society, in it even to establish the identity of unlawful elements becomes harder. As a matter of fact, today we are living in one such society and democratically, we too are its cocreators.
