To enforce the central government to Immediately control the price of yarn, the SDPI has announced that it will hold a train picket protest in Tirupur on the 30th, emphasizing demands including stopping illegal cotton hoarding.

SDPI Tirupur North District Chairman Bashir Ahmed told reporters today, “due to the extraordinary situation in the country caused by the misguided economic policy of the Union BJP government, there has been an increase in the prices of essential commodities.

Due to the continued yarn price hike in Tirupur, unrestricted yarn exports, illegal cotton hoarding, the livelihood of more than one million people in Tirupur, the baniyan industry is heading towards great destruction.

The Central govt run by BJP is responsible for that. So we decided to hold a rail roko on the 30th to condemn the government.
