AIADMK MLAs inspect Vilankurichi Road; Decide to report on sub-standard tar road

AIADMK MLAs have decided to meet the CCMC Commissioner and complain that the newly-laid tarred roads on Vilankurichi Road are in poor condition.

Coimbatore: AIADMK MLAs Jayaram and Arunkumar inspected the laying of a tar road on Sunday in the Vilankurichi area of Coimbatore.

"A new tar road is being laid in the Vilankurichi area and work is being done in a sub-standard manner. The newly constructed road did not withstand the heavy rains of the past two days. Many potholes can already be seen. We have decided to meet the Corporation Commissioner, Raja Gopal Sunkara in person and lodge a complaint. The laying of such roads at a cost of crores of rupees will only benefit the people for years to come if it is carried out in a systematic manner," stated the AIADMK MLAs.

Area Union Secretaries along with party executives and Ward Secretaries were also present during the inspection.
