3 schoolgirls from Pattukottai who fled to Coimbatore angry with their parents handed back to the parents

At the Singanallur bus stand in Coimbatore last evening, three girls, aged around 14, were found sitting alone for a long time. When the police patrolling there called the girls for questioning, they responded back and forth inconsistently. Subsequent interrogation of the 3 girls revealed that they had left the house after a fight with their parents.

Following this, the police took the three girls to the police station and informed the child welfare organization. Later, when they were interrogated, it was revealed that the three were from Pattukottai in Thanjavur district. It was revealed that these three girls belonging to the same area had left home and arrived in Coimbatore by bus from there yesterday afternoon as their parents had reprimanded them. Similarly, the parents complained to the Pattukottai police that the girls were missing.

Following this, the Singanallur police informed the parents of the girls. Meanwhile, the child welfare officers rescued the three and brought them safely to the Anbu Illam in Ukkadam area. Following this, the parents of the girls came to Coimbatore this morning. It is noteworthy that the three girls and their parents were later produced before the Child Welfare Committee and handed over to their parents.
