Major fire accident at plastic store in city's Madukkarai area

The Madukkarai police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the fire.



Coimbatore: A fire broke out at a shop selling plastics in Madukkarai market area of Coimbatore on Tuesday, resulting in all items being gutted inside the shop.

Those present in the area who saw the smoke being emitted from the store immediately informed the Fire Department.



Following this, firefighters from Coimbatore and Kinnathukadavu fire stations battled the flames for a long time to extinguish the fire. Meanwhile, it is reported that several lakh worth of goods in the shop were destroyed in the fire.



Madukkarai police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the fire. It is said that the fire may have been caused by an electrical leakage in the shop.
