Youth dies in head-on collision between Govt. bus and two-wheeler near Alandurai in Coimbatore

The two-wheeler lost control and collided with a Government bus that was heading towards Gandhipuram from Sadivayal.


Coimbatore: Ashok Kumar (26), a worker from the Semmedu area of Coimbatore was riding on his two-wheeler with his friend Sabari Ganesh (29) of Alandurai on Siruvani Road.



His two-wheeler lost control and collided with a Government bus (No. 59) heading towards Gandhipuram from Sadivayal.



Ashok Kumar who was thrown from his bike due to the impact of the collision died on the spot. His friend, Sabari Ganesh was rushed to the Coimbatore Government Hospital with serious injuries and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The Alandurai police recovered Ashok's body and sent it to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered in connection with the accident and an investigation is underway.
