12 sovereigns of gold jewelry looted from private bank manager's house in Coimbatore

Police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the mysterious person who broke into the house and stole the jewelry


Coimbatore: Police are on the lookout for a mysterious person who broke the lock of the house of a private bank manager in Coimbatore and stole 12 sovereigns of gold jewelry.

Prabhu (39) who hails from Kavundampalayam area in Coimbatore works as a manager in a private bank in RS Puram. Prabhu had left home to visit Palani with his family on May 13. Two days later when he returned home, he was shocked to find the front door of the house broken into. He found that 12 sovereigns of gold jewelry had been stolen from the cupboard in his house. Prabhu immediately lodged a complaint with the Thudiyalur police.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and recorded the fingerprints from the scene of the theft.
