Mayor inspects construction work of Urban Health Center in Coimbatore

Mayor Kalpana Anandkumar personally inspected the construction work of Urban Health Center being constructed at Kovaipudur, Edayarpalayam and Podanur at an estimated cost of Rs. 25 lakhs each.


Coimbatore: Most of the roads in Coimbatore are in a dilapidated condition. Thus, the construction of new tar roads in all the 5 zones of the Corporation is in full swing.



Coimbatore Corporation Southern Zone‌, Ward Nos.92, 93 and 95 Places ‌estimated at Rs.4-crore‌, 7.77 km-long tar road in 60 lanes. In Kovaipudur, Edayarpalayam and Podanur, Mayor Kalpana Anandkumar also inspected the construction work of Urban Health Center being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.25 lakh each.



Coimbatore Corporation Southern Zone ‌ Ward No.92-93-Under Manikandan‌ Nagar‌ Under Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Development Program (TNSUDP) at an estimated cost of Rs.3.24-crore‌ 6.27-km‌ at 45 locations, 45 locations, Under Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Development Program (TNSUDP) in Thirumarai Nagar area under Ward No.95 for a distance of 1.5-km‌ at an estimated cost of Rs.74.80-lakhs Mayor Kalpana Ananthakumar personally inspected the construction work of 15-lane tar road. He instructed the engineers to complete the work quickly and efficiently and bring it to public use.



Subsequently, Mayor Kalpana Anandkumar inspected the construction work of the Urban Center being constructed at a cost of Rs. 25 lakhs each at Kovaipudur, Edayarpalayam and Podanur. She advised the doctors and nurses to speak kindly to the public and provide quality treatment.



During the inspection, Commissioner of the Corporation Raja Gopal Sunkara, Deputy Mayor Ra. Vetriselvan, Southern Regional Chairman R Dhanalakshmi, Southern Regional Assistant Commissioner Annathurai, Council members P. Ilansekaran, Abdul Kader, Babu, Ramesh, Assistant Chief Engineer Karuppasamy, Assistant Engineers Kanagaraj, Satish Kumar, Sabariraj, Zonal Health Inspector Ramu and Corporation officials were present.
