Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu arrives in Coimbatore - Helicopter canceled due to inclement weather

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, who is staying in Coimbatore for the night, will travel to Ooty by helicopter or road depending on the weather tomorrow morning.


Coimbatore: Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu has arrived in Coimbatore to attend various events in the region.



Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, who arrived at Coimbatore Airport on a special flight from Abu Dhabi, was received by District Collector GS Sameeran, Corporation Commissioner Rajagopal Sunkara, Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar, City Police Commissioner Pradeep Kumar and Western Region IG Sudhakar.



Following this, the Indian Air Force was scheduled to fly him by helicopter, but the flight was canceled due to continuous rain in the Ooty and Coonoor areas.

Following this, he arrived at the Coimbatore Guest House by road from the airport. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, who is staying in Coimbatore for the night, will travel to the Ooty region by helicopter or road depending on the weather tomorrow morning.

He then goes to the Army College, where he attends and addresses programs, and then reaches Rajbhavan. It will be followed by a speech in the presence of teachers and students at Lawrence School on Wednesday morning, May 18, 2022.

He will then attend the event as a special guest on behalf of the private educational institution. He will then go back to Rajpavan and rest, resting in the Ooty on May 19 (Thursday).

He will then return to Coimbatore Airport by helicopter on Friday, May 20. It is followed by a special flight to Delhi. Officials said changes in the itinerary can occur due to the continuous rain.
