Petition filed on behalf of the Marxist Communist Party against the property tax hike in Tirupur

Various organizations have been involved in the protests against the Tamil Nadu government's recent announcement of a 25 -150 percent property tax hike.


Tirupur: As part of this, the protesters said that the hike in petrol, diesel, and gas prices have already put a heavy strain on people, on top of this an increase in property taxes will only cause great burdens for people.



So, they demanded that the Tamil Nadu government immediately revoke the announced tax hikes. A petition was filed on behalf of the Marxist Communist Party at the zonal offices and the city corporation office under the Tirupur Corporation addressing the above-mentioned demands.
