Coimbatore: Minister for Small and Medium Enterprises Anbarasan inspected the Slum Clearance board residences, buildings and apartments being constructed there in Ukkadam Pullukadu area.

He inspected the quality of the newly constructed flats and asked the authorities about the various facilities to be made there.

Later when the people living there were asked about the facilities there, the people living in the flats reported various grievances to the Minister.

They said that the electricity supply system had been without street lights for several days and no action had been taken by the corporation to change the ration card, change the Aadhar card and change the voter ID card.

They also told the minister that the drinking water was not flowing properly and that the garbage was not being picked up by the corporation administration and that they would be asked for money if vehicles came to pick up the garbage. So he asked them to fulfill their grievances immediately.

Assuring that all their demands would be met, the Minister asked the District Collector to take action to meet the demands of the people.

He later told reporters that all the grievances raised by the people of the area would be rectified soon and action would be taken to meet their demands immediately.

He further said that the present DMK chief minister has done a very good job of rectifying the complaints and the number of grievances has been reduced since he's taken over.
