Coimbatore: DGP Sylendra Babu has ordered 137 Head Constables in Coimbatore District to be promoted as Special Sub Inspectors.
These 137 Chief Constables who have served in Coimbatore district, in suburban police stations for about 25 years, had not received any promotion. The orders were issued by the Municipal Commissioner of Police, Pradeep Kumar and Western Region IG.
The promoted Special Assistant Inspectors have taken charge since May 1, 2022.
