Worker killed by electric current from refrigerator near Anaimalai!

While repairing a faulty refrigerator at home, Palanichamy was unexpectedly electrocuted and thrown down.


Coimbatore: Palanichamy (48) hails from Pollachi Anaimalai in Coimbatore district. While the electrician was working, Palanichamy went to repair a broken motor in a garden near Anaimalai.

At the time, he was apparently engaged in repairing a faulty refrigerator in the same house. Then, unexpectedly, electricity flowed from the refrigerator and Palanichamy was thrown.

Those present saw the electrocution and rushed Palanichamy to the hospital. But doctors who examined him said he was already dead.

Subsequently, his body was sent to Pollachi Government Hospital for autopsy. Anaimalai police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
