Various political parties and organizations across the country have been protesting against the rising prices of petrol, diesel, cooking gas and essential commodities.

As part of this, in the Sivananda Colony area of the Coimbatore Power House, more than 50 members of the Naam Tamil Party staged a protest with a wood stove. As prices rose, the public chanted slogans condemning the federal government for cheating them.
