Review meeting of Audit Reform Committee in Coimbatore held on property tax and water charges collection

The reform consultation meeting on audit department activities was held 28th April, at the main office hall of Coimbatore Corporation by the Chairman of the Audit Reforms Committee Sundaram Prabhu and the committee members.


Coimbatore: A consultation on reforms of audit department activities was held in Coimbatore on Thursday.

A reform consultation meeting on the functioning of the Corporation and the audit department activities was held today, April 28th. The Chairman of the Audit Reforms Committee Sundaram Prabhu., IAS (Retd.), and other committee members met at the conference hall of the Main Office of the Coimbatore Corporation.



In the meeting, it was suggested to review and implement schemes to improve the revenue of the Corporation, to collect pending property tax and water charges, to ensure smooth water supply and to carry out productive and effective works in various departments.

It was also instructed to provide necessary training to the officers of the Audit Department and the officials of the Corporation.

Corporation Deputy Commissioner Dr. M. Sharmila, Zonal Joint Director, Deputy Director, City Engineer (PO) Ramasamy, Audit Department officials, Zonal Assistant Commissioners and corporation officials participated in the meeting.
