A re-investigation into the Kodanad heist-cum-murder case has been on since August, last year.
Coimbatore: Sajeevan, the AIADMK functionary and owner of a private furniture shop has been summoned for investigation in connection with the Kodanad heist-cum-murder case and is presently being interrogated for the second consecutive day in Coimbatore.
A re-investigation into the Kodanad heist-cum-murder case has been on since August, last year. Sasikala, her cousin Vivek Jayaraman, former MLA V C Arukutty, Kodanad Estate Manager Natarajan and over 200 people have been questioned thus far. Presently, the AIADMK trade wing leader Sajeevan who was summoned by IG Sudhakar on Tuesday, April 26 was interrogated for about six hours. Sajeevan is again being interrogated today by the Special Cell at the Police Training School in Coimbatore.
Sajeevan owned a furniture shop in Coimbatore called Nilgiris Furniture. Since he had done the interior decoration of the Kodanad bungalow, police speculate that the location of important files inside the bungalow was revealed by him to Kanagaraj. Sajeevan had earlier however stated that Kanagaraj had no connection with the late Tamil Nadu CM, Jayalalitha after he left his job.
