In a statement, he said, "Tonight, about 750 MW of power from the central grid to the southern states was suddenly cut off.
In order to overcome the power shortage in some places due to this, action was taken to immediately increase the productivity of the Electricity Board and to procure from the private sector.
Thus, the situation in urban areas was immediately rectified. Measures have been taken in the next 15 minutes to improve the situation in the rural areas as well, ” he explained.
