Police have arrested two persons for selling ganja in a car near Ajjanur area of Vadavalli-Thondamuthur road in Coimbatore, with a press sticker on their car and fake ID
Coimbatore: Two people carrying ganja in a car for sale have been arrested near Vadavalli.
The Vadavalli police conducted a vehicle check near Ajjanur in Vadavalli-Thondamuthur road in Coimbatore. The checking inspectors stopped and searched a car with a press sticker, only to find ganja hoarded inside for sale. Police subsequently arrested both identified as Saravanan (38) of PN Pudur and Surya (22) of Ramanathapuram.
Saravanan, is working as a driver, but had pasted a press sticker on the car and was carrying an identity card as the assistant editor of the weekly Aaramba Malar.
Following this, the police arrested the duo and seized 2.2 kg of ganja from their possession. Both of them were produced before a court and sent to jail.
