Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) application deadline extended till April 26 in Coimbatore

The last date to apply for the Teachers Eligibility Test has been extended to 26th of April, that earlier ended on the 13th, after requests from applicants


Coimbatore: The last date to apply for TET, Teachers Eligibility Test has been extended till 26th of April.

The Teachers Eligibility Test is a must qualification for those who have completed B.Ed., to teach for classes 1 to 10. The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) had released the notification for the eligibility test for the newly completed B.Ed. candidates and those who have not yet cleared the eligibility test on March 7. The online application process beganMarch 14 and ended on April 13.

However, numerous applicants were unable to file their applications, and the last minute traffic in the website, shutting the server down. The applicants requested for an extension, while up to 4.50 lakh had applied. The extension was not granted.

The syllabus details of the examination were published on the board's website http://www.trb.tn.nic.in. After four days, the deadline to apply for the exam has been extended and online application registration has started from yesterday. Latha, chairperson of the Teachers' Recruitment Board, has announced that the applications can be filed until 26th of March
