CCMC Commissioner meets Corporation health care workers; dengue prevention measures discussed

The Corporation Commissioner Raja Gopal Sunkara met with the health care workers at West Zone and discussed of the dengue prevention works carried out in the area and of the sourcing of garbage collected from the city.



Coimbatore: The Corporation Commissioner Raja Gopal Sunkara inspected and inquired of the sanitation works carried out in the west zone.

The CCMC Commissioner Raja Gopal Sunkara IAS gave instructions on the dengue prevention works to the mosquito eradication workers going door to door. The Commissioner met the corporation workers at the office of the Regional Health Inspector, west zone. The Commissioner instructed on the prevention measures such as disinfection with Abate, removing unnecessary items and identifying whether there are mosquito larvae in the water stored by the public.



He then personally inspected the work of segregating and collecting biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste in the areas of Peons Colony and Tank Road under Ward No.33 of Coimbatore Corporation West Zone.



The canal near the VAO office on Vilankurichi under ward 9, Coimbatore Corporation East Zone was desilted under the Namakku Naame scheme.



The Commissioner was accompanied by Deputy Mayor R.Vetrichelvan, West Zonal Committee President K.A.Deivayanai Thamizhmarai, West Zone Assistant Commissioner Saravanan, 33rd Ward Councillor A.Krishnamurthy and Corporation officials.
