Coimbatore’s Bombay Kulfi wins prestigious India SME100 Award

Bombay Kulfi, the kulfi pioneers from Coimbatore has been conferred the India SME100 Award at the 9th edition of the SME 100 awards, hosted in partnership with the Axis Bank.


Coimbatore: Bombay Kulfi in Coimbatore has been conferred the India SME100 Award at the 9th edition of the SME 100 awards, hosted in partnership with the Axis Bank.



The India SME forum organizes award ceremony to felicitate the top performing SMEs in India to bring a recognition to their contribution, and also to create awareness on the importance of developing the small and medium enterprises. The forum also focuses on marketing the capabilities of the winning SMEs to regional and global investors.

Bombay Kulfi, an eatery that serves varieties of Kulfi with the authentic natural icecreams from Mumbai, was begun in 2015 by Poonam Shah and Manish Kankaria. The brand has over 40 outlets across India, Dubai, Singapore, with their centralized manufacturing unit at Mumbai. The brand was begun with an aim to bring the best desserts in a healthy and tasty manner, made out of milk.

Bombay Kulfi was one among the 7 companies that was conferred the India SME100 award out of the 42,000 entries from Tamil Nadu. With 30+ employees and franchises across India, the fast growing SME has been given a national recognition. With this award the company becomes one of the long list of recognisable brands from Coimbatore.
