Farmer dies of snake bite near city's Kinathukadavu area

The farmer who hailed from Katharuthanmedu region in Kinathukadavu died of snake bite despite immediate treatment.


Coimbatore: A farmer from the Katharuthanmedu region in Kinathukadavu died of snake bite despite immediate treatment.

Kalimuthu (75) was a farmer residing in Garden Road in Katharuthan Medu near Kinathukadavu. He reportedly was bit by a snake while washing his hands and feet in a water tank near his house. Although Kalimuthu was rescued and admitted to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment, he succumbed to the bite not responding to medication, on Thursday

Kinathukadavu Police Inspector Senthil Kumar has registered a case in this regard and is investigating.
