Mayor inspects mass cleaning drive after launch at Tamil Semmozhi Park at Kavundampalayam in Coimbatore

The Corporation Mayor directed the health officials that mass cleaning had to be done at all the parks that were being used, in all 100 wards so that the public could enjoy the parks.


Coimbatore: The Corporation Mayor, Kalpana Anandakumar who launched the mass cleaning drive at the Ulaga Tamil Semmozhi Park in Kavundampalayam on Friday also inspected the cleaning work being done.

The Ulaga Tamil Semmozhi Park located at VOC Nagar in Ward 16 in Kavundampalayam, West Zone had not been maintained for a long time.



During her inspection of the cleaning drive, the Corporation Mayor directed the health officials that mass cleaning had to be done at all the parks that were being used, in all 100 wards so that the public could enjoy the parks. Accumulated wastes, thorny bushes, unwanted plants and weeds are presently being removed at the Kavundampalayam Semmozhi Park.

M Sharmila, Assistant Corporation Commissioner, West Zone President, K A Deivanai Tamilmarai, West Zone Assistant Commissioner Saravanan, Ward 16 Councillor Tamil Selvan, ward 44 Councilor R Gayatri, Assistant Executive Engineer Hemalatha, Zonal Health Officer Paramasivam, Health Inspector Chandrasekar, Corporation officials and sanitation workers were present at the launch and inspection.
