Man in mid 40's found dead in Kurichi lake in Coimbatore; police launch probe

The Podanur police have opened investigations to find the identity of a man in his 40s who was found dead in the Kurichi lake, while the body has been sent for post mortem.


Coimbatore: A 45-year-old man was found dead in the Kurichi lake. The Podanur police have registered a case and are investigating to find out the identity of the man.

The Podanur police received information that a male corpse was floating in the Kurichi lake in Coimbatore. The police, accompanied by the fire department, recovered the body of a 45-year-old man who was found floating in the pond and sent it to Coimbatore government hospital for post-mortem.

They have further registered a case in connection with the incident and investigations are underway.
